An opportunity for non-professional volunteers

 

 

WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE PART IN A PROFESSIONAL CONTEMPORARY DANCE PERFORMANCE?

 

Rendez -Vous dance in collaboration with Studio Wayne McGregor and Dance City is offering an opportunity for community participation for people from Newcastle and London to take part in the creation of the new work from award-winning choreographer Mathieu Geffré:

 

What songs may do

 

We are inviting people to make up a community company to take part of our community workshops, rehearse and eventually perform as the audience members of Nina Simone's concert in the show.

 

As part of this company, you would be supporting the professional cast as a vital part of the production, and have the opportunity to be creative, improve your health , build confidence, make friends and work with artists who will care for you.

 

We are looking for the young, mature and everything in between. We want this project to be the most welcoming and inclusive possible.

You can have absolutely no dance experience – we will guide you through the process.

 

DATES:

Workshop: 21st March 3pm-5pm (Studio Wayne McGregor)

Creation: w/c 20th of April 5pm-6pm (The Place)

Presentation: 9th May 4pm (Studio Wayne McGregor)
